Rep Power: 0 Dealers who dont know what they are talking about
I just went to a aftermarket shop and once again the guy behind the counter tried to tell me that there isnt an upper strut tower bar for our civics, so after arquing with him that they do, he gets this other guy who owns a 2k1 civic and he tells the guy that they do, infact he has one on his car. Then the guy apologizes and tries to tell me to get the neuspeed over the DC sports because DC drills holes in there and thus makes the bar weaker. So instead of arguing with him even more about the strength of hollowness, I leave. I'm tired of going to part sellers and there employees do not have a clue about what is going on.
Anyone else know dealers like this?

Rep Power: 0 Actually he is correct about Neuspeed being better than DC Sports, but not for the reason that he listed, I believe that it has somthing to fo with the fact that Neuspeed is a solid piece of metal constructed for your car where as the DC is a few pieces of metal put together to work for a series of cars.

Rep Power: 0 There is a dealer here in Tulsa that told me when I was looking for exhaust that the only company (at that time) that made exhaust for a 2k1 civic was DC, when another Tune shop told me that Thermal made some. I argued with this guy for 30 minutes and he finally gave in. I hate people like that.

There are tons of people here on the board that know their stuff.....ask questions here, and then buy the parts online. If the shops fail to hire decent people then eliminate the middle man, do the research yourself and buy the part online.
