Ride quality question

Ive got a set of dropzone coilovers that ive had for about a year and i now finally have the time to install them. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how bad my ride quality is going to suffer with a 1"-1.5" drop. So i can decide if i really want to do this or save myself the trouble of doing it and not liking it, only to put the stock springs back in. Thanks.

thanks guys... now ive just got to figure out to get rid of these things with out losing a lot of money. What would be the best way to go, just some Eibach springs since that type of spring will produce a better ride quality when compared to a coilover, since im looking to keep the best ride quality possible.
I have another question. I was told that for the 03 year, honda changegd the front suspension. So there is a difference between 01-02 and 03 coil overs, is this ture?

All I am saying is that you guys bash anything and everything without trying it. This site is filled with a bunch of kids who only go with the "in" product at the moment. Drop Zones, from my experience on my hatch and on other models have been great. They are well built springs and coilovers.

Depends alot on the spring rate... If they have a high spring rate 2 things will happen.

1. You will get a rough ride
2. your shocks will blow quicker.

So is the spring rate on the drop zone coilovers for the 01+ stiffer, causing a stiffer, rougher ride when compared to earlier models?

You are right, the Dropzones are a well built sleeved coilover very comparable to Ground Controls. With the proper struts (Konis) on a 7thgen they can even ride good and handle like a dream. However, on stock 7th gen struts they are the worse thing you can put on your car. Honda really screwed us over when they reenginered the suspension. The 5th and 6th gen civics and the accompanying integra models all came with decent struts for sleeved coilovers. It's still a rough ride somewhat but they do ride much better than the 7thgens. My friend has DZ coilovers on his teggy and that's the reason I bought them for my car. After putting them on I thought I was gonna die. The springs rates were way too high for the struts that Honda gave us. I took them off and replaced them with Neuspeed Race springs which give me a 3" drop all around and a smother ride than the coilovers.

If Tokiko had struts for our cars that would be awesome, but with our only choice being Koni's which cost $500 we are limited to either a spring/strut (or sleeved coilover) combo or full coils. The Hayame's, which you are refering to as the "in" thing to do provide us with good ride quality and also are about the same price as the combo. With adjustability being the main key factor in the decision on which to buy the Hayame's are a very good choice for us to make in our suspension tuning.
