Any solution for wheel hop?
I have my ride lowered about 2.5 all around on B&G's on 215/45/17s and I am getting serious wheel hop driving around in my city. Wheel hop is simply when you are acclerating, and you hit a bump, the drive wheel raises and misses contact with the ground. The wheel then connects to the ground and you get a huge jolt on the driveline. Not only is it bad for components, its annoying and pretty nervracking. I was thinking maybe about an underbrace or an engine dampner or just not driving at all. I know for cars with leaf springs, they make spring reinforcers that hold the leaf spring towards the ground - but we dont have leafs (duh). Let me know if you have any ideas.
I currently have installed:
Neuspeed upper front brace
RSXS rear sway
B&G coilovers
SPC Camber F&R
Generic upper rear brace

You need better damping out of your struts, the B&Gs dont have high enough Rebound Dampering. also, raising up the car (giving the suspension more travel) may help reduce some of that wheel hop. of course these are things you probably didnt want to hear.

Also forgot to mention - Energy Suspension has motor mount inserts out for our rides so look into them.

I drive a civic. I can't go much slower than that unless im driving a lancer base model or a festiva. Im talking here about simply accelerating and hiting a bump.
I thought about it and i think its just part of rolling on the suspension. Im going to look into urethane inserts i guess but i dont want the vibrations from the engine to travel to the cabin. Mounts are a double edged sword.

If its just from you normally driving.... well then its either 1. your spring rates are too low. 2 your unsprung weight (wheels) is too high. or 3. your dampers arnt valved high enough.

ohh and isnt wheel hop defined more as when accelerating from a stop and the wheels spin and hop up and down trying to get traction? More common in rear wheel drive aplications. Or atleast thats what ive always called it

Prolly my 22 lb rollers
The potholes around here are no joke; I needed a heavy duty wheel.
