The JIC retail went up $120 or so cuz of the new exchange rates, so 1800 isn't bad now... a couple months ago, that would have been a lot.
6/8 is too soft. I'm happy with the rear at 10K, but I need to back off the fronts to about 400-425 lb-in (about 7.5K).

i'm into these coilovers cuz i whant a real sporty ride, and the quality is top notch, cuz im also looking into Tanabe Sustec Pro S-S for EP3 ( Tanabe Sustec Pro S-S has helper springs, Tanabe Sustec Pro S-S TYpe II does not) what would be better, i don't auto cross but stock suck and springs and shocks just don't do it for me, also there was one feature the JICS and Hayames have, that did not compres the shock when lowerd....

Tein Flex doesn't compress the shock either, it has 3 locknuts.
be Warned... 10K rears are rough. If you're not racing I don't know if you need it, but it takes quite a bit to get the rear to stay put. I know Rob is running 8/9 and he says its fine... Maybe 7/9 would work for the street. 6/8 probably would work if you're just looking for a sport ride, you'll never drive as hard as you can on a track anyways, so you probably don't need to go for super high rates. You're going to want some cushion to mess around on public roads, 10K will put snap oversteer into the picture, I've already done it, its not enjoyable.

It just keeps the spring from moving. Same thing as preload, but it adds a little more flexability to the system. There's no need for it, but I guess its a little more comfy.
