yes but you will need 01 front upper mounts and/or bearings.

hrm ok because im trading my ground control/koni setup for someones stock suspension, would the 01 mounts bein the current setup i have and can i reuse them?

yes. if you are just swapping springs and shocks, then no problemo.

What is the drawback of having a fully swapped '02 suspension over to a '01 ? Increase in ride height for the fronts ?

should be nothing except a revised rear to help handle the bumps better. The 01s would bounce. they may have different spring rates but not sure.
