Talking Suspension advice

I have installed on my civic the Eibach Prokit along with 17" rims/tires and was wonder what you thought the next logical aftermarket part to get would be to smooth out my ride and kill some of the bounce (if ya know what I mean). Thanks!

what about coilovers? are they worth getting or are the koni's enough. I'm not too worried about cost. I just mainly want it done right, ya know?

then u should return your eibach springs and get full coilovers...tein's are popular and so is JIC magic, along with the new set that just came into demand, the Hayame, priced at around 600 shipped, that's a damn unbeatable deal, considereing the cheapest tein (type basic) costs around 900. good luck to ya!

is there going to be a big difference in ride if I got let's say, the Tein coilovers vs the Eibach Prokit/Koni adjustables combo?

yeah, the springs/shocks on the full coilover sets are matched between the spring rates and the dampening. The stock struts are not made for lowering and will eventually blow. The konis are adjustable and will provide about the same ride with those springs as would the full coilover setup. The main advantage of the coilovers is the fact that ride height is adjustable, with the springs you are set at a certain height.

but if you are satisfied with the current height after the Eibachs, then just getting some konis should be fine then, correct?

yes you should ride nicely. However, be warned that you have to modify your front struts to get them to fit properly so if you plan to go back to stock one day, don't get the koni's.
You have the prokit so it is only a 1" drop so your stock shocks aren't going to take that much stress.

cool, thanks!
also, i noticed on tokico's website that they are planning on coming out with the Illumina adjustables sometime in sping 04, would it be worth just waiting for them to come out because I've heard that the tokico's are better than the konis...

I would say go ahead and get the konis. I've been a member of this site since summer 2001 and I can't count the number of times I've heard that the tokico's are about to come out. I'm not holding my breath, I'm holding my funds for konis.

no, only the rears I believe. (correct me if i'm wrong)

the fronts are a drop in that replaces the front shock in the strut assembly.
