clunkin noise with sportline

ok here is the story.....eibach sportline came with a rubber isolator around the coil (rubber hose)....i removed it, cuz i had no idea what they were for

now that they are in my car, everytime i go over bumps or turn my steering wheel they make clunking noises. its pissing me off

so i looked down at my springs....the first 3 coils are touching each other.

so my question is, is that the problem cuz they are touching? should buy rubber hose and slide it in between?

thx yall

WOW, you are like the first person I've seen on here who has actually figured out their own problem!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! No offense to all those other peeps; I used to be one.
Put the isolators back on and wrap it around the coils that are touching. Bye bye noises!!

Check the following

1. Make sure that all the nuts at the top of the front struts is tight.
The nut that holds the the spring and strut together was loose and made a noise like that.

2. Make sure the springs are properly seated.

3. Put the hose between the dead coils (coils that touch each other.)
This will eliminate some noise.
