don't know much about dropzone. I know their springs/coilovers aren't that great but i have not had any personal experience with them
Tein basic. can't go wrong with Teins. They are nice for people who want to drop for show and some increased performance. They are relatively inexpensive. $750-800 shipped
Tein SS. better than the basics by adding dampening adjustability $1000-1150 shipped
Tein flex. higher spring rates than most other companies. built for performance. Camber plates and pillowballs. $1400-1600 shipped
B&G, drops lower than teins, still not for performance, but haven't heard anything bad about them $1000-1150 shipped
KW Variant 2's INOX stainless steel. Slightly higher spring rates. $1100-1250 shipped
Variant 3's - higher spring rates, compression AND rebound dampening adjustablility $?
JIC - One of the best coilover companies out there today. Comes with integrated camber plates and pillowballs, 15 way adjustable, higher spring rates than most other coilovers.
$ depends on which set
Tanabe. New coilovers being released. they have a design that is supposed to be better than monotube. $?
Progress. Progress coilovers are good. Not much info on our set yet, but it is Progress and they make good ****. $?
H & R. Teh cup kit will be nice once it comes out. Their coilovers will be excellent if they come out. cup kit should only be $700-800 shipped

dropzone: hells no, haven't heard nething good bout those
TEIN BASIC: very good option
TEIN SS: even better
B&G: also popular but i didn't know the make true coilovers? what kinda struts do they use?
KW: the new v3's, if they're out, are in demand atm by some people.
TEIN FLEX: still waiting on, but lots of support for this one!!! I personally want one
Gets some good prices on man! We've been waiting for good prices on true coilovers, the regular coilovers with stock struts just don't work well enuf, and i don't wanna just get Koni's and settle for 2nd best. ^_^

the H&R true coilovers use koni struts right? just repainted black or something?
there's some other japanese brand out there with a "speed" character, i forgot the english pronuciation, but it uses KYB struts. Those are both relatively cheap too.

if you're not racing (Autocross/road race/track days. The you WILL NOT NEED the V3. The reason being is, you can adjust the bump and rebound on the shock (Rather then just the bump with all the other shocks out there Jic Included). This can be a bit much for the street, as you'll have to do a bit of testing and research to get the best combo of Dampinin levels. so Unless you are willing to put quite a bit of time in to tuning your suspension, stick with the simpiler suspensions.
Personally Im waiting on the V3, because I autocross. And having that adjustibility may help me shave off a few tenths.
