Question Front strut upper tower brace question...?

I was just wondering, should you jack the car up, take the bolts off the towers, and put the brace on? Or can you just leave the car on the ground? Also, how do you know how tight to make the bolts once you put it on? Thanks.

^^^ nah, i had to jack mine up, too. then i needed to take it off, so i jacked it up AGAIN (but then later i figured out that jacking it up isn't necessary when taking it off). damn thing kept on rattling at 1200 RPM.

anyway, make sure you follow the instructions; if you have the neuspeed, leave the car on the ground, put it on the passenger side screws, then if it doesn't fit on the driver side while still on the ground, you'll have to jack the car up to make it fit...

Actually it's supposed to be like that. It doesn't just slide on. I have the Neuspeed front strut bar. To install it, jack the car up, and unbolt all 6 nuts (3 on each side). Bolt it down loosely on the passenger side first and then it's just a matter of working the struts and the bar to get them to fit. Yes, it is supposed to be like that. Then once you get all 4 points on, torque them to 33 ft/lbs and you're goo to go!
