Consequences of Dropping?
Have you ever thought about em.....Like say for instance earlier i was rotating my tires and my cars not dropped yet but i was like dammm what will i do to get my car jacked up if my car is gonna be low to the ground know what i mean? Like how am i gonna get the jack under it? The only way i can think of possibly getting it under there is in the middle of the rear wheels under neath the car in the back? Say for instance also i had a drop[ped malibu at one time and i went to discount tires for something and they scrapped the **** outta my car going up that ramp thing. Also another thing what if i take it in for a oil change or something and you know they have like these 3 inch rails that your car has to go over and ...i'm like HOw is my car gonna get over that if it's dropped? Basically what i'm saying is have you ever thought about the consequences of dropping it ....i mean i love the "2 low 4 a Fat Hoe Look" but damm i dun wanna **** it up trying to jack it up? Any ideas or suggestions on accomplishing this while the car is dropped?

roll up on bricks or pieces of wood to jack the front up. america's tires didnt have any problems with my car being too low. and didnt scrape anything. and last, change your own oil!
yes i have thought of the consequences, like, driving while its raining like crazy here.. i dont do it
you just have to live with the consequences that come with a lowered car. dont worry too much about them

Well if your car is so low you can't get a jack under it, then it is too low! That is if you don't have sideskirts. To improve handling, the better set up would be 1.5-2" drop. Anything lower on our chassis could possibly hurt handling and the chassis itself. Consequences of lower will also be hitting high curbs with bumpers or doors, hurting your car if you hit potholes, etc. Like any aftermarket part, there is usually always consequences.

1. Can't open your door while parked by a curb.
2. Can't fit a regular jack under it.
3. Scrape your front bumper when going up inclines and down inclines.
4. Scrape your exhaust and/or rear bumpers when doing the above.
5. Scraping the underside of the car when going over bumps.
6. Having to drive diagonally across bumps to prevent scraping.
7. Harsher ride due to less suspension travel.
I don't know... There's a ton of drawbacks. That's with a proper lowering too. If it's not done right, then you get a lot of other problems too.

4. true (magnaflow sucks, hangs too low...AT STOCK HEIGHT)
5. true (be careful)
6. true (**** people off behind me though, but who cares)
7. true (BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCIN down the road)
^^ He means professionally installed. Correct springs or coilovers for your car. No cutting your stock springs to lower your car. That kind of stuff. Its good to stay in the 1" to 2" range when dropped. You can go more, but it presents more problems.
These are things you live with if you lower your car, but you get used to it...if you can't deal, then don't....my stock jack laughs at my beefy 3 ton jack every time i lift up my car...he says"haha, see, i told you you couldn't live without me" yeah, i keep it and two pieces of 2x4 handy in my garage
^ Amen to that. Or roll up thew windows. Ya, I use a 3 ton jack to lift up my car, as well as, my mom's 1500 ram and dad's s10 blaser. If I lower the car, than Ill just go to walmart and get a 1 1/2 ton floor jack. Its smaller and the car only weighs that much.

Thanks Green Civic, that's what I meant. For example, cut springs, cheap coilovers, badly installed, etc.
Here's the only way to lower a car IMO. Either get bags and drop it only when parked, or...
Get a full coilover suspension. Greatly oversized wheels and lot of meat on the tires. Roll your fenders (especially in the rear). Make sure that you have full suspension clearance. Then you're all set. The bigger wheels and tires will fill out the wheel wells very well while raising the ride height a little bit. Then you lower it a little and you still have plenty of ground clearance.

yes but grey the car dont look slammed tho..
thats just what you have to live with. its like driving a ferrari, your going to baby that thing. your not going to drive over pot holes. drive over dips at 50mph, give it to a local mechanic... i say if your going to complain about it, dont drop your car or just drop it a little bit.
ya i've already had problems with shops not wanting to work on my car cause it was "too low", i knew it was going to happen but whatever i think its worth it, thats why i did it.
bags have a problem of their own too. what if something blows, when your DRIVING. car slams down, there goes your kit and there's a nice firework display for the people behind you.
but ya what grey said kinda works. like me, i have big tires, 1" bigger than stock. 1" finger gap with a kit but still have enough ground clearance to clear most driveways and speedbumps
