Squeak Fix For Tein SS>>>>read!!
Alright I was messing around on here one day and I saw that people were having problems with a squeaking in the rear with their tien SS. Well I am here to save the day..lol...your problem is simple (only because i had the same problem and fixed it). What that noise you hear is your rear dust cover rubbing against the threads. So what I did is take the rear out and low and behold there were rub marks and black crap that had rubbed off onto the threads. So i pulled out my handy dany knife and cut off above the dust cover and presto no more squeakin
. Hope that helps

Okay, I have the squeek issue.... Started last night with my TEIN SS and I have the same problems as xHotekx has. The whole squeeking when you get in or out of the car, small bumps, or if you push the back end down. Its only on the drivers side rear though.
What exactly does the dustboot cover and are their any repercussions for this?

i had to cut my rear dust boots a lot because i had irritating squeaking sounds when i hit big bumps. But now it's good, no noise at all. When you take apart your shocks look at the dust boot and see how much is touching the coil sleeve thing. Then just cut so it wont rub on the sleeve das whats making the noise is when it rubs together.

popping noises is caused by the springs moving inside rather than the strut assembly rotating. What setup do you have? usually cause by improper installation
