1st let me start by saying I've searched the web and am still a bit hazy as to how this can be done... I know about cutting the stock strut xxmm from the top and removing the inner workings after drilling and draining the oil, as along with making sure the hole is drilled in the correct location for later attaching the new strut cartridge. My question is about fitting the koni unit into the OEM strut body
. I've seen several different write ups some stating it has to be pressed in others say it can be hammered in by the diy-er. I imagine it could be hammered in using like a block of wood or someting to protect the shaft. Has any diy-er done this your input would help alot. I'm considering getting them very soon, I just lowered my car 2" and the stock struts are taking a pounding. Thanks to all that reply, Jason

Thanks I ordered some from tire rack, hopefully $318 a pair shipped isn't to bad for the front. I should have them here and installed in about 3 or 4 days. I'll let you know how I make out. Thanks for the help.
