Question odd noises...

i recently put in racer design coilovers on my civic...however i'm getting a creaking sound coming from the fron whenever i turn the wheel past a quarter turn either direction.

it's hard to describe...best word i can find to describe it is creakin...kinda like wood rubbing on each other (if that makes sense). sorry if it's so vague guys.

jus wondering if you have any ideas of what could be the cause. i could get some pics up. (where's a good place to host for free?)

thanks.

First off, they are racer design, not a leader in spring design. Second off, they are sleeved coilovers (i am assuming). ARe you sure you installed them correctly? Hard to diagnose a problem without seeing it.

AirForce is an unknown quantity at this point
If you are using the stock strut assembly here is what you do:
1. Make sure at the top of your spring make sure ALL of those tabs are tight aginst your spring and holding it.
2. Make sure every bolt is tight

the first idea comes from letting the spring kinda turn and twist because they are not held in there tight. And the second is common sense just to doulble check. CHECK ASSEMBLY

Third i have never heard of those springs; or they could be settling

i jus noticed the spring was turning slightly everytime i turned the wheel...so i guess it's causing the noise. =X

but last time i checked, everything was tight.

If your spring is turning your tabs are not tight
