rear control arms
rear control arms
i have a Lx Sedan with sportlines installed. still have to get the camber kit though.
i was wondering is it normal for the rear control arms to be straight after lowering the car.
they originally looked like this /-----\ but now they are like this _------_ after lowering the car. how far do they move upward ? (when going over a bump)
does it interfere with the exhaust at all ??

Yes, it's normal. The lower control arms move with the suspension, so it's natural for them to move up when you lower the car. How far do they move upward? If you really want to see for yourself, then take out one of the springs and compress the suspension on that side to see the full range of motion. I think they won't bind at all; even when the shock is fully compressed.
It might interfere with certain exhausts, but it shouldn't interfere with the stock exhaust system. As long as an aftermarket system mimics the stock exhaust system placement around the lower control arm, then it should be fine.
Sway bars could also interfere with the exhaust, so be careful that the combination of products you use doesn't cause any problems.
