Progress Springs....?
So Im looking to purchase progress springs for my 2k1 coupe. Im riding on 17in Konig Verdicts with Kuhmo Supra Ecsta tires, 215/45. I was wondering what all of you think about progress springs and if i should be encountering any probles, like i would need to get a chamber kit. Oh and the drop is (f)1.75 and (r)2.00

It is a really low drop. My friend had them and liked them but because it is a low drop you will need a camber kit and your stock shocks will blow quite quickly. Progress makes good stuff!!

yes it won;t be 1.75/2.00 for long. it'll be more like 2.0/2.25. which is nice i think. i lovemy progress...its not too noisey..not as bad as the prokit. ride is pretty comfy. go for it.
hey ICEMAN: do you think my 16's with 105/45/16 will rub? also if i gotta get a fender job, how much you think i'm lookin at? thanks.

the tires...i am not sure...u just might be able to clear it...just depends how much lower ur springs settled...as for rollin ur fender...it should be that expensive...i had a shop in cali...do a 4 wheel alignment, correct the camber, and roll the fender for bout 120...ive heard people say that u can roll the fender urself wit a bad wrapped wit cloth...but i didnt want to take the risk of crackin the paint

Well, I have them, and now since my back shocks have blown, I hate the ride. Ok, progress uses progressive spring technology. The spring if you look at it is more coiled in the bottom and less on top. That is supposed to give a softer ride. The problem is, that our shocks blow. The 2k1 civic has different suspension on it from 2k2 and 2k3. As well, some 2k1's have the redesigned suspension, but there is no date on when the change over happened. Either the drop will be even, or if you have the old stuff, the drop will be like almost 3" in the back and 2" in front. Make sure you get shocks in the end. I have had mine on for 2 months with almost perfect rodes and the shocks have blown in the back. Try them if you like, I personally would go with goldlines now. But these have lowest drop

my only problem with getting them would be that:
a)its too low and ill **** up my ride on the streets of La
b)after i pay 115 for them(used by the way) then i would need to get a chamber and even then possibly new shocks. Im not sure how much a chamber kit would cost but i think its around $200 and also maybe have to get my tires tucked
c)what the ride would be like, like how smooth would it be, especially living where the roads are somewhat bumpy and there are a SHITLOAD and I mean a SHITLOAD of speed bumps
can any of you relate to any of those problems or what do u have to say now

i have the springs and the same tire size. the rear has negative camber. my prediction is that if u correct the rear camber had have a tire sive of 215 it WILL RUBB. this is also confirmed from what ICEMAN said. so i have the SPC camber kit and its uniinstalled. the drop is pretty low. the first time u sit in your car you will notice it. handling is alot better too.
these springs are STIFF as hell. u will feel every single bump! i have hit some heavy potholes and my shocks are still ok, but they wont be if i continue to hit these 1.5+ inch deep potholes were have in philly. pictures attached

i decided that i want to upgrade to 18s now, so thanx for all the help bu i think im gonna put the 18s on first then go with springs with a smaller drop, possible nuespeed sports maybe goldlines, i just think that here in La 18s and a 2in drop will be beneficial
so i guess a mod can close this topic, but once again thanx for all the help
