Question ??? for people with ROTA's

Did you guys buy new lug nuts or re-use the stock ones? I re-used my stock ones and noticed that the black plastic ring around them was bending, so I took the plastic rings off all of the lug nuts and put them back on. I was just wondering if it's okay to use the stock lug nuts, because I noticed that the taper inside the holes for the lug nuts on the rims is muck different than the one on the lug nuts.

NO! Get new lugnuts... the stock ball ended ones are intended to be used with the stock wheels... you need lug nuts that match the wheels you have... It isn't safe, your wheels can come loose. You probably need 60 Degree taper (aka Acorn) lug nuts... they're pretty standard. Any tire store should be able to figure out what taper you need.... they might be 45 degree, but that's kinda rare.

I see nothing wrong with using the stock lugnuts.
I have the 16x7 Rota Slipstreams and they are not at risk of falling off.
But, I will change my lugnuts due to security reasons.

I went down to PepBoys a little bit ago and got a set of them (20 in total) with locking lugs, yes I know everyone has the same key, for only $25. Thanks to those that responded, and Grey for the PM.
