Brakes and rotors
I am looking for brakes that show less dust and are a little better at stopping power than the oem brake pads. I heard that the AEM pads are pretty good. What about rotors? Anyone have suggestions on rotors that would go good with the AEM pads.

My AEM Rotor Brake Kit is pretty good for stopping my car. as for dust wise, i'm not sure, i know that the wilwood brake kit gives you lots brake dust...but as for the power our engine is producing, stock rotor is good enough, unless of course u do a swap or turbocharged
I agree with CivicVTec. You really don't need to change brake rotors except for look. Basic brake pads chaning (AEM one) should be good enough for everyday driving. Dust wise AEM pads give off light grey dust instead of black, so less visble. If you really want better brake rotor try BREMBO Blanks. I had them on my last car(6gen civic) and worked pretty well.

I have read numerous articles which state that drilled rotors have a tendency to crack, so I'm looking for some fairly decent slotted rotors. Anyone know of any? My 2003 Civic HX with just under 15,000 miles has warped rotors, 'cause I drive the backroads at over 100mph on a daily basis.
I got Brembo Rotors, NOT drilled NOT slotted...IMHO the drilling and slotting on our cars has no effect....plus I got BOTH for $72 shipped instead of $150 for drilled and slotted....
I tend to disagree with you, because slotting and drilling drastically helps to dissipate heat
, which causes rotor warpage. I began to notice rotor warpage at less than 12,000mi. Given, I do a lot of high-speed (90+mph) and mountainous driving. Let me know how your regular Brembo's hold up, and what kind of driving habits you have (i.e. how fast, how hard braking, etc...) and I may consider them.

the discs don't even need to be slotted or drilled, you can get some good brake kits like "The Brake Man", which have really good kits and why is AEM putting out new kits where its not drilled, because its better, less cracking discs.
it doesn't mean its better.. if it is drilled...

FYI
I HAVE PRO STOP ROTORS (BY POWER SLOT) AND THEY ARE GOOD! THEY LOOK NICE, ESP W/ RIMS, THEY ARE SLOTTED AND DIMPLED. THEY ARE NOT DRILLED! DRILLING THE ROTOR COMPROMISES THE INTEGRITY OF THE ROTOR, WITH THE POTENTIAL OF CRACKING. NOT EVEN BREMBO GUARANTEES THAT THEIR DRILLED WILL NOT CRACK. I GOT MINE FOR A LITTLE MORE STOPPING POWER + BETTER LOOK THAN STOCK RUSTED ONES BEHIND MY RIMS. TRUE, SLOTTED AND DRILLED DISIPATES HEAT BETTER THAN ANY OTHER BUT IT CREATES LESS BRAKING SURFACE AREA.
BE AWARE, THAT BREMBO DOES NOT MAKE A SPORT ROTOR THAT IS BOTH DRILLED AND SLOTTED. THE GRAN TURISMO KIT IS THE ONLY ONE BREMBO MAKES THAT IS BOTH. THE SPORT ROTORS ONLY COME IN SLOTTED OR DRILLED. THEY DO NOT COME INDIVIDUALLY BOXED EITHER. IF YOU PRUCHASED A BEMBO ROTOR THAT IS DRILLED & SLOTTED, IT WAS A BREMBO BLANK BOUGHT AND MODIFIED BY A THRID PARTY AND WAS NOT FULLY FINISHED AS FAR AS BREMBO'S STAND POINT. THEY ARE NOT TRUE BREMBOS. THEY ARE JUST THE CASTING. ALL OF THEIR TRUE ROTORS ARE GOLD CADMIUM PLATED TO PREVENT RUST. POWER SLOT ARE SILVER CADMIUM PLATED AND ARE SLOTTED, UNLESS YOU GET THE PRO STOP WITH DIMPLES AND SLOTS.
PADS: I RECOMMEND AEM, AXXIS OR GREEN STUFF.....ALL VERY GOOD!

If you plan do do Hard driving, I wouldnt recomend AEM pads. What i mean about hard driving is TRACK DAYS (Road race not drag) where Brake temps can reach 650-750 Degrees F. Im not saying that AEM pads aren't good, its just that I havnt found a site that will tell me what temps they are stable till. However, EBC brake pads, both RED stuff and the GReen stuff would both be sufficent. the Red stuff is a harder/Higher temp pad sutible for track days and Hard street driving on a Heavy car. their only draback is that they need to be warmed up to work their best. They are stable at over 750 degrees. The Green stuff is what I would recomend for us. It has Excelent initial bite, and a MUCH higher Coefficient of Friction then both The Red stuff and STOCK. The Green stuff is stable at 650 Degrees.
For my 2 cents... I have the brembo slotted rotors and Axxis pads - I would have rather gone with the Green Stufs but the deal was a good one - I surely recommend the slotted w/ Green Stuff. They have more bite than factory - look greta with rims and are not radically expensive.
