Good plan! I kept my steel wheels cuz I ain't paying a grand for nice rims/tires and have them ruined by the road salt cause I heard horror stories from peeps who keep their rims on during the winter..plus, if ya switch up wheels, your tires will last longer cuz you won't be running the same set all year round!

I will be... Although I'd suggest changing out the stock Firestones, they drive like **** in the winter!

Of course, I'm in Toronto, so I get 4 months of snow (if not more). I'll be swapping out my stock Firestones for winter tires this November, and then swap out the 15s for new 17s in the spring.

So yeah, IMO, I think it's a good idea. Of course, I haven't tried driving 17s in the winter, so no comment on that.

yeah, but R/C is just a memory for me now. That was a HPI Pro3, and it handled like poopoo. So I sold it, along with three of my nitro vehicles. I am about to put my Super nitro on ebay.

yea, i'm going to do the same. i live in chicago and it snows here big time. do you guys think i should
put my stock springs back on too? i was just going to keep them on. that's why i didn't get coilovers. i figured if it snows hard, i can't/wouldn't want to drive anyway. i was just going to borrow my bro's car.

I plan on switching back to the steelies before the white stuff starts falling. Nothing will destroy a wheel's finish faster than caked on road salt.

the pro3 is a well designed r/c no doubt, but it had way too much chassis flex out of the box. and when you run in box-stock classes like i did, it just didn't cut it!
racer 2 was better! BTW, anybody need a LPC speedo?
