Wheel or rim size recommendations

Hey guys so I just recently bought a 05 Honda Civic EX with 26k on it. The car has not been modified whatsoever. It even has the original rims (tires have been changed) but to me these rims look so small and fit such a small tire that it seems to me that the car looks out of proportion! There’s such a huge gap between the tire and body and I do not want to lower it.

Is there any recommendation for rims I’m looking for something painted black or gunmetal, a bigger sized rim (maybe 17 inch rims?)can anyone help me? And yes this is my first Honda ever and I’m new to this forum.

Re: Wheel or rim size recommendations

I rocked buddy club p1 racing sf's in gunmetal on my 2003 civic. Pretty inexpensive, lightweight (17's weighed 17.5lbs each without tires).

17x7 et42 are the measurements on those. Had em wrapped in 215/45-17's.

Honestly, the best way to eliminate wheel gap is by lowering the car. 1.5" drop will get rid of enough wheel gap to make it look good but not sacrifice too much clearance. When I get to my laptop, I'll post up a pic of my 2002, lowered on tein s-tech springs (1.4/1.3” drop f/r) with my 17" rims

Changing tires won't really change that wheel gap if you do it the way you're supposed to. You'll just have a bigger rim, lower profile tire, and that same exact wheel gap

For wheel gap you need to lower it. For wheels get whatever you like. I wouldn't go bigger then an 18"
