yep....still have wheel gap
friend of mine had 17" rims and tein ss drop at 1.75 inch
i keep making fun of him how he spent so much money

205-40-17s with 1.3" drop? your going to have a HUGE wheel gap. i'm guessing 3 fingers maybe even a little bit more. i'm not even exagerating... you have some skinny tires and a 1.3" drop aint ****. what springs anyways?
ya i would go with thicker tires.. 205-45-17 with a 2.25" drop. that would have you nice n on the floor with 1 finger gap all around. but then it doesnt seem like you want to so 215-45-17" with 1.75" drop would also look nice. would look similar to mine. 1 finger gap all around. although xenon's front doesnt hang too low so it still might be kinda high

how would the wheel gap look with 205/40/17s and neuspeed race springs (2.25 front/2.0 rear)? can i expect these springs to sag a little more and get actually a lower drop than that?

your still going to have like 1-1/2 finger up front, 2-2 1/2 in the rear. ya the rear on the races are higher than the front. if i ever get them i'll probably cut a DEAD coil off the rear to even it out...
thats why i dont recommened 205-40-17s at all. they are just too thin... stoopid shops still are living in the past and putting these on the new civics... they're nice on the old gens but not 7thgens.

what is a "dead" coil? and i like how 205/40s look. i think 45s are too big and make the rims looks smaller. my rims already looks small now with my car so high up. what size tires are you on? those look almost like 35 series for 18s.

dead coils are coils that touch together when on the car. only purpose they serve is to hold the spring in place while the car is jacked up in the air. it has no effect on the spring rate when cut.
215-45s are kinda too thick but 205-45 imo are just perfect. its even the closest to stock tires size.
i'm actually on 215-40-18s.. they're kinda too thick for my liking... i only have 1 finger gap all around but my car is still really high.. wish i would have gone with a 215-35-18 neuspeed race setup...

i have noticed that on some cars after a month or so the springs sag a bit and get lower. would i be able to expect this to happen with the neuspeed race too? and should i wait a couple weeks or so for the sprins to settle in before i get an alignment, or can i get the alignment same time i install the springs?

with high quality springs, the springs dont settle but the bushings and everything do... it takes about 3 days but just to be safe i would wait a week. you'll notice a drastic change within a day
it shouldnt lower any more after that tho.
this is neuspeed, h&r and eibach.
