7th gen. Civic tire fitment with lowering springs

Hey guys. First time being on a forum so sorry if I’m posting a question that’s already been answered.

I have an ‘01 Civic LX sedan and i was wondering without rolling the fenders, what do you guys recommend for a flush, no rubbing or scraping fitment?

I was thinking of putting lowering springs on later (dropping an inch or 2) and I only want to spend money on one set of rims and tires. Possibly going with 16s or 17s on rims

Check out the "Azumi" link in my sig (posts #1 and #35 in that thread). There are some decent pics (unfortunately the only pics I have that can kinda illustrate fitment) of my old car. 17x7et42 rims wrapped in 215/45-17s. Zero rubbing issues, non-rolled fenders, lowered 2.5-ish inches (tein ss-p coilovers adjusted to 1" from lowest adjustment setting). SPC camber arms on rear and Tein camber plates up front for alignment

That’s a good flush fitment. I didn’t think I was gonna fit 17s without it lookin like a monster truck. You even have a good amount of tire wall. Was the 42 the positive offset?

yea, IIRC, those Buddy Club rims only came in positive offsets.

As for the the sidewall, that tire profile was specifically chosen to match the OEM tire profile as closely as possible. I think it was only like a 0.2% variance. Comfy ride, didn't mess with speedometer/odometers, still had performance tires on there

Re: 7th gen. Civic tire fitment with lowering springs

It was. My 2002 ex coupe came stock with 15x6 ET45 wrapped in 185/65-15s

My aftermarket rims were 1" wider, 3mm shallower offset, and the tires had 3cm wider treadwidth. With the tire profile I chose, overall diameter of the tire was only a 3mm difference (12mm larger circumference with teh 17s)
