sqeaking rear driver side drum brake

probably this has been asked thousands of times but anyway.

When i break it makes EEEEEEK! sound to the rear when releasing the brake pedal

When the parking break is on it doesn't make the sound anymore.

Should i just take everything off and clean the whole thing with brake cleaner and put some anti seeze on the places where there is friction and etc.

if that doesnt help what could be other options?

thx.

Re: sqeaking rear driver side drum brake

Sitting perfectly still, you can pump the brake pedal and hear squeak squeak squeak every time you pump it?

Lube the contact points between the shoes and the backing plates.
3 contact points per brake shoe.

A light smear of thick MoS2 (Moly) grease seems to work ok for me.
