Timing belt
Timing belt
I finished changing a cylinder head gasket and I put everything back together, but my only problem is the timing belt. I marked where its supposed to go but the force is really strong and I can't get it to slide back on. Any ideas?

Re: Timing belt
Loosen tensioner, move pulleys as needed (dont bend valves) start the timimg belt install from scratch
Use the timing marks honda put on the engine

Re: Timing belt
Not sure what's your problem with the tb, but what I did was I push the tensioner arm and than lock the tensioner by tightening the bolt. I then install the timing belt and I loose the bolt and let the tensioner spring do his job. For my case, My tensioner spring was too weak and I have to push the tensioner arm to give the rear side of the timing belt the appropriate tension.
