04 Acura el (Civic si?) Brake pads??

Wife;s Car a Canadian Market Acura EL ( (rebadged Civic of some description) Has 4 wheel discs.
Now at 45k Miles is likely in need of fresh pads.
Although Squeelers haven't made any Noises .. Yet.
Sooo what pads to buy?
Other than from the dealer as their pricings are Silly High)
OEM brake performance is "fine".
No need for better and the oem pads seem to be gentle on the discs.

Also May need a muffler soonish (dunno if this the right place to ask)
Dealer wants 350$ ! Rock auto has Walkers ..Standard type for 80$ and SS version for 120$ (canadian $ )
Which one?
Thanks..

Re: 04 Acura el (Civic si?) Brake pads??

Been doing a bit of reading and realised that I can :-) Online buy OEM Honda Pads and Muffler.. Will do so then, as there won't be Any fit/quality issues.

Small point: What Honda Civic has rear Discs.. so I can order those pads?

2001-2005 right?
The problem is that the exact vehicle with Honda badges has rear drum brakes.

The civic si hatch 2.0L, has discs all round but I'm not sure if the pads are the same size.

Re: 04 Acura el (Civic si?) Brake pads??

You need to find an online Acura parts catalog for Canadian market cars and look up a set of brake pads for your car, then compare to Hondas versions.

Here's the Honda part of it:
Canadian 04 Si-R rear pad and USA 04 Si rear pad # 43022-S6D-000

Maybe you can look up all the cars in a local parts store online catalog and compare too.

Re: 04 Acura el (Civic si?) Brake pads??

Great ! Thanks.. Found 'em at Honda Parts Cheap..
Also Rock Auto has a selection of Acura 1.7EL aftermarket pads (F & R) for notably less coin.
ANY point in considering those beyond saving 20/30$ ? (Wife's car)
Some of those $ will be lost in additional shipping charges as I ..Will.. be ordering the OEM muffler at least from the honda parts place.
Aftermarket Ex bits; brochure babbles have fooled me before... No longer.

That's the problem with too many choices.. It confuses the hell out of me
