Question Question about swaping rotors and calipers

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a vehicle in which has bigger rotors that will fit to a honda civic ex 2002 thats a bolt on?

I was thinking this the other day when I was talking to a friend of mine that modifies older cars and he saves money by using parts from other vehicles.

Thanks and sorry if this is a strange question. Just wondering if there is a cheap way to improve my brakes.

Re: Question about swaping rotors and calipers

many opt for rear disks, but they don't do much. mine rear drums are almost new at 98k miles.

there is no need for bigger rotors. if you want exceptional breaking:

1. get better tires. this is the biggest difference.
2. get stainless steal braided lines. its night and day difference.
3. get better pads. like hawks HPS

bigger rotors = more unsprung weight for our weak engines

Re: Question about swaping rotors and calipers

but if you insist on getting "bigger" brakes, you get always get some wilwoods. they are awesome. 12" rotor, 4 piston caliper.

or... get the s2000 caliper and the s2000 rotor (just redrill the rotor into 4x100). its possible.
