Has this happened to anyone out there???
Has this happened to anyone out there???
I have a 2000 civic si with a b16 series motor. It was making a squealing sound and i was told it was my throw out bearing.I just changed the clutch flywheel etc and put in a new throw out bearing. We put the it all back together and fired up the car.It still squeals on and off. The noise goes away but then comes back little by little.Do I need for all the parts to break in or could this mean something else.Anybody got any idea???
Re: Has this happened to anyone out there???
I have had them checked and I was told all my belts are fine.3 different garages told me it was the throw out bearing that was worned out.The sound comes and goes slightly so I don't know if it needs to go away on its on.

Noises will not go away on there own unless you turn up the stereo. It sounds like belts to me but when does it make noise?? on accel?? Decel?? Reverse?? when its hot/cold?? Loud squeal?? The more info the more likely a solution
Re: Has this happened to anyone out there???
Well the noise comes as soon as the car warms up.It sounds like a squealing sound it does it when the car is in neutral or idling.Once the car starts running and picks up speed the sound goes away. All my belts are brand new and it was doing this sound even before I changed the clutch out.
Re: Has this happened to anyone out there???
the squeal isnt so loud now.It only starts when the car is in neutral.I can't hear it when i have my radio on.I put a new clutch kit on the car.But it didnt bring a new flywheel. It seems to want to go away but the squeal keeps returning on and off.
