Rim width for 2004 civic coupe
Rim width for 2004 civic coupe
Hey guys, I'm looking into getting some rims for my 04 ex. I'd like 18's but (correct me if I'm wrong) 18's usually come with a width of 8.5. I've heard that the 04 ex can only support a 7.5 inch rim width. Is this true?
I want 18" XXR 521's with red caps but they come in 18 x 8.5.
Thanks!

I would go any larger than 17'', although certain wheels up to 20'' will fit.
Anything larger than 17'' have the potential to cause issues with brakes and such. Plus anything larger throws off the cars proportions and it looks a bit strange.

plus ride crappy.
felt big difference when i put my stockie 15 from the 16".
And 18 will be too heavy, acceleration/braking and handling will actually be hurt.
