Cleaning tires/rims?

Putting my old set up..in case I ever slap them back on. They are terribly dirty and gross. What's the best stuff to use to clean them?

Re: Cleaning tires/rims?

I personally use Bleche White. These guys used some cheap dressing on my tires and they're permanently brown. It got most of the crud off, but not all of it. I've heard good things about the Tire Foam though, and that seems a little better on the eyes. BW burns....even with goggles on.

Re: Cleaning tires/rims?

I use some tire stuff from Mother's. Spray on, let it sit for a couple minutes, rinse off.

Re: Cleaning tires/rims?

I think the mother's stuff I used has a lot of citric acid in it.. Alls I know is the mist would knock me on my *** if I accidentally inhaled some of it. And not tire stuff like I said in my last post, no-**** wheel stuff.

But yea, simple green would work great, too.

Re: Cleaning tires/rims?

for the rims, turtle wax ice liquid clay bar. it will take out anything from rims/paint. then put a wax on to make cleaning it easier next time. for tires, bleche white followed by adams VRT dressing. you may need multiple washes with the bleche white if the tires are messed, and prolly need to scrub them with a brush. and be careful, that stuff isnt good to touch or breathe.
