Hey Everyone,

Ok so I need to install my new hawk hps pad because my oem pads are starting to run low.

My question is what are these strange tabs for on the hawk hps pads?! I haven't removed the oems yet, because I don't wanna go through the trouble of taking it all apart and realizing I have the wrong pads. (these new pads should be the right ones though)

Also, I heard from some miata owners that the hawk hps pad shims can cause problems with the braking system. Has anyone had problems with the shims on the civics? I'm debating whether or not to remove the hawk ones and use the oem ones.

they will fit perfectly, those clips let you know wen your brake pads are
done for the job.Oem one have just the same 2 clips.

mazdam miata and honda civic are not the same car. im sure the shims will work fine. i havnt herd nothing but good things from hawk pads for our cars. i plan to get some too when i upgrade my rotors late this summer.

yea they are for the back side.

just slide right in, i just got done replacing mine a day or so ago, and i have nothing but appraisals for the hawk pads.
