9 and 10 connect to the master cylinder. It either connects to the proportioning valve or the ABS block. Get a shop manual not a parts diagram and figure it out.

That pic is old, but I would go to the car wash and use the green tire cleaner on the engine then use the rinse at a distance. Water will not hurt the engine the psi will. So when you rinse it dont bare down on anything that can be damaged. Pm me if you have any other questions. Don't want to ruin the thread.

Re: Help with this brake diagram!
Oh and one more thing... while I have no idea why that line needs to be disconnected... use a FLARE NUT WRENCH to remove it. If you use a regular wrench you will strip it, and then you will be up **** creek.
Re: Help with this brake diagram!
I stripped the side that connects to the rubber hose for the rear drum. So I want to replace the line. Im guessing I stripped it because I didn't use a flare nut wrench.

Re: Help with this brake diagram!
thats a rediculously excessive replacement to fix the nut. Go to Autozoo, buy a 1' section of brake line with the fittings on it (maybe $5). Just get the piece thats the right diameter with the longest threaded nut they have. Cut it off, cut the flare off the stock line, get a double flare tool, put the nut on and reflare the line thats on the car. OR, if you never intend to take it off again, grab the damn thing with vise grips, tighten it up and leave it be.

Re: Help with this brake diagram!
I agree this is a little extreme for a stripped nut. Just do what Boiler said, cut the line then put a new fitting on it then flare it and you are done. Don't say you cant flare it because flaring the end is way easier than replacing the whole damn line. It is also way cheaper and you can keep the tools you use. That way in the future if you want to do a return fuel line or some other mod with copper pipe you will already have the tools.
