01 civic brakes
i have a 2001 civic ex and i think my brakes are getting bad. I had new brakes in the front done not to long ago. Just recently evertime i release my brake like when im going to take off, it squeeks, is this from the front brakes or rear. The rears are drums. Anyone know y. Thanks.

If the person who installed the brakes did not use an application of some sort of disc brake quiet when installing pads.... it could be the fronts.
To maybe test if it is the rears use the hand brake on/off/on/off and see if the noise occurs then. May work, may not.

Squeaking from letting go of the pedal is from the rear drums. It just means that the pivot point of the shoes or the spring could use a little lube, no big deal.
