Got some new rotors (unknown brand) and pads
I installed some new front rotors and pads the other day. Since I've got a lot of questions on them, I'd figure I'd post up some info for anyone doing some searching for new rotors / pads.
Rotors are from www.racingbrake.com ( please see the site for all the info and specs ) They have EDP coating which is more like rubberized coating not paint, drilled and slotted surface with EDP coating the holes for no corrosion, lighter weight than stockers (minimal), and vented. For Pads, I went with the recommended Hawk HPS FerroCarbons.
Result:
So far, the pad and rotor combo is 100x improved over OEM rotors and PBR (Axxis) Metal Master pads. The pads seem to grip much better after doing the recommended bedding process, however, the front brakes now make a weird "woosh" noise when braking, even lightly putting on pressure; no biggie, just weird, and kinda kool. There is dust but it is now lighter in color than the previous PBR pads and OEM.
So, after bleeding the brakes, using SI rear discs and hawk rear pads, DOT 4 fluid, and SS lines, I FINALLY have brakes that engage once you lightly press the pedal, no more squishy feel.

they are 75 each. more then brembo blanks, but they are drilled and slotted at the factory during manufacturing, thats a big + compared to others.
