The look I want....

Boys,

before anybody tells me to check the FAQ, or to use the tire calculator and search functions, I've done all that. I've gone blind reading old posts about offsets. I don't need a definition of offset, and I don't need to know what wheel/tire combo will fit with a drop. I want my car to have the same stance/profile as the red one pictured below:

I know these are 17"x7" Motegi MR7's, but I don't know what the offset is, and I don't know the tire size. Does the above car still have its stock suspension in your opinion? I would prefer to keep my suspension height stock, and I want to go with as wide a tire as possible, AND be flush with the outside edge of the fender, not more, not less.

Do most aftermarket wheels (17X7) come in the 40mm-42mm offset range?

Thanks for your thoughts/opinions.

Oh, and for everyday driveability, should I go with 16's instead of 17's? I can't find any pics of Civics with 16's, and they don't seem to be that available, so I can't really compare them so to speak.

My '05 currently has the stock 14" wheels on it.

It would make sense to me, since you pulled the picture from somewhere on here I'm guessing, to PM the guy who's car it is and ask what he's got.
Flush with the outside of the fender depends on your alignment, but the vacinity of 38mm offsets on a 7" flushes the fender.

Thanks for the info...

And, I did send him a PM, although, according to the member list, he hasn't signed in since 01/01/05...so looks like he doesn't come around much.

Will he get an email stating that he has a new PM? a couple other forums I'm on do that.

I don't know, to me they look like 18's on stock ride height. My neighbor's car's like that.

From alienmeatsack's profile looks like (and it's pretty evident anyway) that the car in that pic is at stock height, 17" Motegi MR7's. Also shows he logged in yesterday, so he's still about every once in a while.

Thanks guys...

Any info is great. I want to keep my stock ride height and I've been going through the gallery car by car to find Civics that look they way I want my to look. Drops aren't for everybody, different strokes for different folks

And I suppose the tires are 215/45/17? they seem to be the most common on here.

Cheers,
Rem

PS: This thread doesn't show up in the forum for me...I have to dig around through member's posts to find it...is it just me?
