Drums aren't too expensive. Maybe $30-50 a piece?
It can happen if the rim of the drum gets too thin (max ID of the drum is 201mm). If it gets any thinner, and you get it hot enough, you can crack it.

It looks like it's been cracked for a while already because rust has already formed inside the crack. You need to replace it ASAP!

it isn't gonna be cheap, man... like boiler said, if you do it yourself, expect to pay $30 (auto parts store) to $50+ (dealership) a piece for the drums... plus shoes, parts cleaner, grease, brake fluid, etc.

so maybe $150 for a diy job with honda drums/shoes and $400+ for a kind shop to do it for you, replacing both drums (with house brand).

my bro had a drum (not sure if they did both) replaced on his neon at meineke and they charged him $440.

good luck, man.
