better bang for my buck?

what do u guys think about this: (prices include purchase, installation, tax, the works. 205/60/15 btw)

bfgoodrich traction t/a - $355.99
falken ziex 512 - 265.99

been taking it easy on the throttle due to gas, but im a spirited driver. got 20k on the car now but i cant stand driving in the rain with the stock firestones, and it sure does rain in florida. so please tell me what u guys think. should i spend the extra 90?

My next set of tires will probably be the Falkens of the same size when my Michelins die. The tire upgrade will be unbelievable for you. I remember driving, well more like barely controled sliding, down 275 North after the interchange in the rain. The wider tires give much better traction and you will be very happy to get rid of the Crapstones!

yea i remember sliding around on the veterans too...into a wall, then spinning into another wall. it wouldve been fun if it were like an amusement park ride instead of my car and the $9k worth of repairs.

youre still riding on Firestones?????
well, being that the Firestones are ranked as the worst tire in the most basic tire category in Tirerack's survey, I would think any tire would be better than the FR690's. Both of those tires are great.... this may be irrelevant but the Falkens look better the Traction TA's.

Vantage should not be trusted
dont get BG RE92's. they are worse than the firestones IMO, i used them for like a wheel when i got my next wheels, i had to ditch them ASAP!. Loud, no traction, TERRIBLE in water. Worst tire ive ever EVER driven on.

I'd personally go with Traction TA's or Bridgestone G009, based on my experience.
