Need some help. Wheels rubbing in back!
Need some help. Wheels rubbing in back!
Ok, here's my problem. I have 19x8 (45 offset) konig blatant rims with 225/35/19 tires. My cars also dropped with the tein H-tech springs which are settled down about 1". When i got my alignment done thats when the rubbing started in the rear. Before I took it in I had -2.0 degrees camber in the rear. So I had to take care of that because those tires aren't cheap. It does it bad when I have passengers in it. My camber is set to -.75 on all four tires now, anyways I tried to "roll the fenders" and that wasn't happening because the paint started to crack. I went to get it quoted at my local bodyshop and he told me around $950. He said it could be lower than that too, just depends on what kind of problems he runs into with the paint stretching and cracking. He gave me the worst case senario. He also mentioned maybe to have the rear wheels milled down like a .25" or so. I just don't know. For that much money I could buy 19x7.5 rims also. If anyone could put there two cents in on what they would recommend, I would appreciate it.

Put more camber in the rear. Spec allows up to -1.5 degrees in the rear, so why not use it? If your toe is 0, the tires don't wear much, if any, faster than with 0 camber. Toe eats tires.
