Drums... done.
What a damn pain in the ***. The mechanism is so friggin simple, but so hard to put together. More hands (5) would have made it pretty simple I think, but for a job that only requires a pair of pliers and 2 screwdrivers, its frustrating. Anyways.... 3.5 hours later, I got new shoes, an adjusted parking brake and re-painted drums.
I'll post a DIY later unless someone makes it worth my while (read: pays me) to do it right now.

about your new drum shoes...
Is there any difference between the stock shoe and
some aftermarket one ? Because my drums are perfectly
adjusted but don't grab verry hard (low friction)...
Thanks,
Philippe

i haven't seen inside the drums on a civic, but to change shoes on my family's chrysler mini-van, it takes me about 30 minutes to change the shoes on both sides.
