Brakes Locking Up!!??!?!?!??!?!

help me someone. My aem big brakes lock up. I have abs and it seems as if it is not engaging. When i floor the brake pedal, my brakes lock up no matter what. Ive been having this problem with stock rotors but its worse with the aem big cahunas. I tried cleaning rotors and it is not the problem. My friend who owns a shop is telling me i need wheel spacing or something, but I want to make sure before I pay more $$$ for something that isnt going to fix this problem. ANyways whoever has these problems let me know what you did to fix it.

Explain more... When does it lock up? How far are you pressing the pedal down? what tires do you have? ect ect ect... the more info you give us here the more we may be able to help.

the brakes work good, but cannot be pressed all the way. What I mean by all the way is pedal to the floor. The brakes make a grinding sound, and shakes the car.

if im using it regularly and press it hard it wont lock up and shake. it only does it when I press it alllllllll the way in. Like a time when someone cuts me off and im going 130 and need to brake I press it in all the way. It locks up then. But during usual stops its stops awesome, I just want to be able to press it all the way without it locking up.

The larger rotors set the pad farther away from the center. So there's more brake torque, its going to take less force on the pedal to lock them because of the torque increase. As soon as there's enough friction from the piston force to overwhelm the forward motion, they're gonna lock.

orso is an unknown quantity at this point
ok i have the same brakes and mine don't lock up, but the abs does kick in a little earlier than it used to. that is because of the larger rotor. if they are locking up the you have other issues besides the rotors.

130 first off you're not suppose to be driving that fast... and abs are tested on 60-0 and not 130-0 but correct me if i'm wrong

and also, consider your brake pads, and size of the wheel and fluid you're using... I believe when you change your brake rotors bigger than OEM and or pads that you have to change your brake fluids as well to conpesate with it... try PM'ing ZZYZX his name is Spencer, he knows alot about brake's stuff...

^^^^^^^^^^^edited: sorry I didn't see ZZYZX response to your thread...

for the grinding sound check the bolts on the brackets that hold your calipers, maybe one is a little loose.

it might be possibe the the anti-lock brake sensors in front are bad or became disconnect during the install of the big brake kit and reinstall of the oem rotors.
