Something went wrong when put in new actuator... help!

I just finished changing my driver's side actuator to see if that would solve my power lock problems (power lock switch on driver's side, nor the key fob, does not unlock/lock driver's side lock, but does unlock/lock the passenger side; key turns lock fine). So, it was a big pain because I couldn't get one of the wires/cables to unhook from the door lock assembly, but I seemed to get it done in the end but when I put it all together again I found that it still doesn't work, but now the key doesn't physically turn the lock. I know I reconnected the wire that goes to the inside door handle so I guess I must have forgotten to unhook one of the cables/wires that goes to the lock assembly in the door? Or could it be the actuator was installed incorrectly?

So, actually it turned out to be simple: I just forgot to reattach one of the rods that connects to the door lock/handle assembly. And I also forgot to attach the electrical connections to the new actuator, lol. So after doing those two things my power door locks work fine again. The only issue, which is minor for now, is that when I use my key to manually lock/unlock the door, it doesn't feel as "smooth" as it did before I changed the actuator. Probably I'm guessing it's due to some of the rods getting bent during the process as I couldn't remove one rod and so I switched the actuator without actually removing the lock assembly so there was some bending involved probably. For now, though, I'm not going to worry about it.
