Exclamation Another Firestone FR690 tires suck thread!!!

Had my friend install 03 Si wheels on my car just now. The tires are stock Michelin MXV4 (soon to be Falken ZE 512 by tomorrow).

The difference in handling and braking is amazing. Their is much more grip with the Michelins. Body roll has been reduced by about 1/2 and sidewall flex is no longer present in moderate cornering.

Word of advice with those that have the stock Firestone FR690s...GET RID OF THEM ASAP!!!

Will be doing a review of the Falken ZE 512 tomorrow...stay tuned

how miles do you have the FR690's?
I think a lot of members here have to change them by 25,000 miles.

Still those tires suck, even if your not looking for high performance, they don't handle water well, and try an emergency manuever and you'll find your self going straight rather than turning

i got rid of my OEM firestones at 7k. front wore down to 40% and the rears were still fine 80%+. these shouldnt be even called tires. i didnt feel safe driving over 80mph on the highway unless it wasnt windy at all and sunny with clear roads.

and no need to do a review on falken ze 512, got like 5 of those already

My dad has MXV4's on his car right now....they're really nothing to brag about IMO, and still you noticed a night/day difference. So, that really says something about the FR690's.
I already knew this when I got my RE950's. I don't miss shitstones. At all.
