the stock stopping powers of our stock braking caliper is sufficient for our civics. even in the extreme cases of autoxing and road racing.

the only problems would be brake fade. which can be solved with high temp brake pads, fluids, and SS brake lines

remember, 70% of the braking is done by the front. replacing the rear drums to discs would really do nothing that would overcome the $$ u spend

This is simmilar to what I brought up on the RSX board... It appears to me that the few people that have open tracked thier civcs are all pretty much running Disk & Drum's with the right Fluid and Pad/shoe meterals with No problems in stopping power or fade... and the guys who putt around the street are typically complaining about the Inadiquicy of Drum brakes.... makes you wonder whos putting there brakes under more stress.


(The question I brought up on the RSX board was about Big brake kits.... Turns out only a couple of people on the board have run in to brake fade enough to actually need a larger rotor.... and all of them Heavily open track their cars. who would have figured that honda designed a braking system that would work perfectly fine in all but the most extream track situations....
