i did some lookin and couldnt find an answer.. so here we go.. feel free to flame me

my steelies have ugly weights on them to balance them.. ive never seen this on nice rims.. i know its not that nice rims are magic and dont need to be balanced and i know that they get balanced... so so where do the ugly weights go? and why dont they put them in the same place on all cars?

they usually mount them on the back of the rim and on the inside, not inside with the tire but on the rim not the lip.

Stick on weights inside the rim... I now request them for all my rims, even the stockers. I don't need some *** clown hammering on the face of my wheels.

The reason they aren't all on the same place on all cars is because wheels and tires aren't perfectly balanced themselves when they are made. There are small errors in construction of the wheel and tire that is individual to the tire as well as the wheel. That's why they need a small amount of weight to balance them in the first place.
