heavily spray wd-40 on there and let it sit for awhile, might help.

Drill out the screws... seems to be the most common solution to that problem. Let us know how your setup feels once you get it installed, I'm going to need to do something about brakes soon!

importrp.com if you have problems navigting post back and I will let you know. But I got it for 126 they come in this friday. I would recommend to throw the extra cash for faster shipping because this is nerve racking.

Does anyone know if the axxis brake pads come with the synthetic grease I have to put on the back of them so they hold on?

Also does anyone know where I can buy that caliper opener thing that will strecth so that my pads can fit.

Streetglower: i am going to try that with the wd-40 hopefully it will work. I will keep you posted.

As to everyone else I will let you know how everything turns out. I am about up to here (can't show) with honda brakes and service!

1. that grease is anti-squeal grease... and you can pick it up at an autoparts store.
2. Try Sears, I saw it there.
3. Make sure you dont get any WD-40 on your new brake pads.... it absorbs in and then you'll have 0 stopping power.

Oh don't worry about the Wd-40 on the pads.

Is there anyway to making the caliper extend nicely. I have seen it here at 7thgencivic someone posted how they used some type of tool. I don't have that tool so is there anything I can use to improvise

Can someone also explain to me how the grease being put behind the pad will be an anti squeal doesn't make sense to me

as for flushing the brake fluid can someone give me a nice diy or just simply explain it. I am kinda scared of doing this for the sheer fact of those air bubbles and never done it before.

Update* On Brembo slotted or drilled

Ok here we go. I put on the brakes and they are awesome.

I got the axxis ultimate pads with brembo blanks.

Alright well let me go through what went wrong.

1. My nephew pressed the brake when there was no resistance from a rotor and pad. Therefore the pistons came out all the way! I had to go to a mechanic that is a friend and he fixed it. No Biggie.

2. Was after everything was put on there was still a loud noise coming from the front left. This was happening before(after tireplus if you guys read my thread on that). The rotor(brembo) which I put on yesterday was being scracthed very similiar to the one that I had taken off. I couldn't figure out what was the problem. Finally I went back to tiresplus and it was that that lug that connects to the axle wasn't tighten. This is #2 for screw up of tiresplus.

All in all it was 126 dollars for the brake change(front only).

You feel immediately the pads and the power they have. Boiler was right they are dusty but that is fine don't care. I haven't fully pressed the brake all the way down(hard hard braking) but from what I have done so far which is 80-85% of hard braking I already see that the cars stops quicker than 100% with oem brakes. This is great and I love it. New rotor is a little scracthed but that is fine since it will rub and eventually go down due to the pad.
