Questions about Rims and a drop..... but dont want to loose my shocks!!!

This spring I want to get some rims for my 2 dr civic but I dont want to look like I'm rocking a SUV once I put them on with my stock springs..... And I dont want to blow my shocks if i lower my car. What are my options/sizes? What do you guys recomend I do? I am working on a some what limited budget.

Leave it stock if you can't afford the camber kits, alignment, and eventually new struts if you're going to lower it.
