Better calipers up front?
With the addition of my turbo, I want to get more powerful calipers up front...any recommendations. I'm gonna hold off on rear disk conversion for now. Using car in autocross and going back down to 15" wheels so big brake conversion is out, but is AEM kit that utilizes stock size rotors(i have brembos) ample for this? Thanks.

for autocross? stock is perfecty fine. for our cars, the stock brakes can easily overpower the tires. the only big problem with stock pads and Fluid is its total lack of fade resistance. so getting a good pad for the front and a good shoe in the back with an upgrade to the break fluid would probably be more they you'd ever need. If your having problems stoping after that, get stickier tires.
Porterfield has some good pads and shoes.
For brake fulid Motuol 600
if you change pads, then you should either have the rotors turned or get new rotors. Brembo blanks would do nicely.
if you still cant stop, some summer tires I can recomend
Falken Azenis Sports
or
Kumho MXs
I think the AEM kit uses the stock Calipers and a larger rotor...

Brake upgrades for autocross??? Have fun with 130HP in Street Mod.
Get pads and fluid, slotted rotors if you must, but leave the sizes alone.

Man, thanks for the input guys, but in the first sentence, i mentioned i have turbo(a lil more than 130 horsies). i'm mainly interested in better stopping power from fast speeds and when i'm at the track. i'm aware for autocross, what i have now is fine, just looking for something that won't be overkill for autox, but better when i'm on the highway or at the track.thanks.

zzyzx, porterfield links didn't work...already ordered azenis'. if a better pad and brake fluid will help out, then great....i was thinking i may need better calipers, but if i can go the pad and fluid route, all the better...it's just the slowing down part from 110+ that i want to be ok on.

Looks like their site was down earlier.
It looks to be that you need some thing that is a whole lot more resistant to brake fade then anything. so ya, a Higher temp Brake fluid would help(Boiling the brake fluid is bad) and a pad and Shoe thats much more stable at higher temps would do wonders. Dont forget to upgrade the Rear shoes, they dont really add all that much braking power, but its more then nothing.
Email their sales guys, and they could point you in the best direction...

Blah... I don't read good early in the morning.
Someone on ephatch.com posted a kit with 11" rotors and wilwood calipers. It allowed the use of 15" wheels. I don't remember too much more. Might have to search over there, but it should fit.
Wilwood has a kit with new calipers, but there's no dust boots, so you gotta keep them clean.
Baer *supposedly* is going to come out with something (but who knows when).
