I just bought bought some rims form wheelmax.com i ordered some KUGIS
my rims are suppose to be hyper black.. I don't know too much about rims but i know that the rims is suppose to be black and they just coated the outside of the spokes with silver paint..
I can tell that it is paint because on the inner part of the spoke looks like paint that is not smooth...... I need help on what to do.... Should i go get them recoated or something....What are my options...... to ship them back would cost me around 250 dollars........ What is hyperblack anyways......................... Go to this site http://www.wheelmax.com/Wheels/Giova...a.htm#Gianelle
LOOK FOR KUGIS you see the spokes... Inside of the spokes are silver but behind it is black coating....and the inner spokes looks like smugged paint that is not smooth.....

Take a picture and post it. I sort of get what you're saying.
First off... lets get the dumb one out of the way.... does it peel off? As in, is it a protective coating for the finish? Try scraping (with a fingernail) or soaking it off.
The only reason I can see the paint/powdercoat looking not smooth is the casting sucks and it caused bumps in the paint, but without seeing it, its hard to say.
Is any part of the rim the right color (the inside or the back face?
Hyper black isn't completely black... its kinda like a glossy transparent finish. Sometimes it looks real black, othertimes its kinda shiny dark silver.

I drop my rims earlier and when I looked at it it was black where it got scracth....Outside of the rim it is a silver looking paint color and when you look inside the spokes it's black... I can't return them what can I do about this any suggestions will help and

u droped them? nice move. anyway, just go get them powered coated somewhere to the color you want. sure it will cost more money, but it will take care of the shitty finish u have on there now and it will take care of the scratch you just put on your rim. it is just an extra cost you have to pay for dealing with a low cash campany. "thats the price you pay."
i went to a shop toady and the guy told me that the silver was painted on then they used a gloss........ then he said it would cost around 110 a wheel to paint them he didn't really know what powder coating wa ... i'm going top ask another shop..... what color can you get powder coating in
I sure wish my car was newer

I can't tell you anyplace to get them done, but I wouldn't have anybody work on my rims who hadn't even heard of powdercoating.
Let me put it in perspective - I'm 17, I'm a DIY style car guy, and I know about powder coating. If he's an adult and owns a business, he should definately know.
Try looking up powder coating in your local phone book.

You can powdercoat any color you want.
Look in the phone book. If it doesn't have a "powdercoating" section, look under "metal finishing" It should cost between $30 and $60 a wheel, depending on color and the size of the rims.

I got my wheels from Wheelmax, and had no problem...the only thing I can complain about is that the lugnuts were on back order and got them a week after the wheels...but they credited my credit card $20 after I faxed them the recipet for the ones I bought, and got to keep the ones they sent which were all wheel locks, so I cant complain too much
i found a place to do it and they want 75 four sandblasting the four rims.. then this other place want 20 for each rims for powder coating but with the gloss or clear coat it's 42 to 52 a rim...but he told me i shouldn't get the clear coat when I talked to him because he said it would just turn yellow over time... and how long does powder coating last....also do name brand wheel company use powder coating for their rims also

You don't need to clear coat over powdercoating. Just powdercoat them and you're set to go. Thats $39 a rim... thats a decient deal.
Powdercoating is pretty much invincible. My OZs are powdercoated.
Volks are Powdercoated <----- that should be enough incentive right there
