Kumho Ecsta 716

Hey guys

I'm looking for replacement tires. I've come across the Kumho Ecsta 716 in my search but haven't found too much info on it here. Just wondering if anyone has experience w/ these tires? Tirerack has a very good rating, close to the Dunlop SP Sport A2 and exceeds them in some area's also.

Thanks.

They are good tires for the price. beaware of pot holes they tend to bubble on the sides if hit hard enough! I'm still happy wit them. Goodluck!

the sidewalls, it tears something inside the tire. I have one tire wit it but you can't hardly tell unless you know its ther. Like i said before for the price they aint bad. Low pros tend to be price to replace!

Yes its dangerous to drive with a bubble. You can blow out the tire... that causes a sudden loss of control, which tends to cause you to crash into the nearest object.

Yes it is dangerous to drive with the "bubble" it is called an impact seperation, the sidewall plies of nylon I believe have seprated and air is traped in there. It is very likely that it will blow. If you bought free replacment warranty on your tires that is one of the things they cover. If not you are assed out.

On the subject of a replacment tire, I would reccomend getting into a better tire, my recomendation is the Yokohama YK420 (if buying from Discount Tire) or Avid H4 or V4. They a a bit more expensive but well worth it.

The YK420 seems to have the same tread pattern as the Avid T4s.
