Need info from those who have KUMHO ECSTA 711 tires

How are they? how long have you had them? how's the tread? response on turns? grip?? I'm in the market for new tires and the 711s are 50$ a piece locally at this shop for 195/50/15s and the only kumho ecsta supra 712s are in 195/55/15....are the two sizes much of a difference? and which one should i stick to? i need tires by the next few days. My tires are bald and keep deflating haha. late.

i had them on my 2001 and now have them on my 90 hatch. they are 205/40/16. they are alright but i don't like the way that they seem to pull all over the road.

I have the 711s in 215/45R17.
They are fine for everyday driving and the tread pattern isn't as aggressive as the 712s. The ride quality is great, but I would like something with more lateral performance. I think I'm going to replace them with 712s, maybe bump down to 215/40R17s.

I have 711's there 205/40/17... they have good grip and ride quality, and after 2 months there isnt much noticable ware. They are ok tires but next time i think im goint go go with something more agressive.

One of the guys I auto-cross with put some 711's on his Focus. He pretty much said the same as the other people here - much better than stock, but he wishes he would have gotten 712's. I don't think 712's have any tread depth warranty though, if that's important to you. I'm sure 711's are great for street use.

i had some 195/50/15 711's on my stock tires a while ago and they werent that great. they were ok on dry weather but in the rain i had alot of spin, that was going easy on the gas. i went to the 712's when i got my new rims and i like them alot better. not only do they handle more aggressive, but look alot more aggressize as well (tread patern).

I had a set on for around a month 205/40 17, good ride quality...quiet ...buuuut the grip is not too good...while following a bunch of 2k1civic members in seaside heights, I took a jug handle at speed and the rear end of the car started sliding....I corrected and kept the car from kissing the inside curb but whoa...that was totally unexpected....now i take the same corners with my 18's and yokos and no sliding......

just for some reference, i have the 712's and ive had them on for about 6 months and around 10, 000 miles and the tread look pretty untouched, im not racing on the back roads, but on some windy roads around my house i regularly do 10-15 over the limit, with not so much as a sqeal, or the rearend gettin loose or anything. as for wet weather, i have yet to spin them, and in cases with cornering in the wet, on turns where the stockers woulda went straight, these kept on track

sorry for the long post just wanted to let you know what the tread wear was like
