Re: 01 honda civic swap
Moved to correct subforum
RSX front seats match 3 of the 4 mounting holes. IIRC, the 4th mounting hole just needs to be drilled out a bit. It's off by.. half or quarter inch? Rears fit into the coupe, but require cutting and some DIY upholstery work.
Shift assembly is the same. You won't gain anything from swapping in an RSX shift assembly. That said, any aftermarket one made for the RSX works
Here's a thread for all the suspension compatibility between the ES1/EM2 (01-05 Civic sedan/coupe), EP3 (02-05 Civic Si hatch), and DC5 (Acura RSX). Just noticed there's no mention of the rear sway bar. The 19mm RSX rear sway bar is a direct bolt in. Aftermarket endlinks recommended.
If you have access to Acura 1.7EL (Canada market), rear disc swap is direct bolt in. It's the USDM civic with Acura badging and a facelift. Alternatively, 2002 EP3 rear discs are a direct bolt in with no lug pattern change. The e-brake cable is too short though. RSX e-brake cables require some finagling to fit, but they fit. I had to open up the mounting brackets to take up any slack in the line to get them to reach.
I've seen people retrofit the RSX gauge cluster into the ES1/EM2. Leaves a gap at the bottom though, so you'd have to get creative with it or live with the gap.
Engine swap, you kinda mentioned. The K20A3/A2/A (RSX base or EP3/RSX-S/RSX-R, respectively) have been the swap of choice for 7thgen owners
There's prolly a lot more I'm missing, but those are the big ones
