2009 Honda Civic not taking in freon
2009 Honda Civic not taking in freon
Hi I’ve been having some ac issues. When I bought the car last year my ac worked but then one day went out. My boyfriend and his dad vacuumed the ac and it held. We tried to put more Freon in it and it wouldn’t take it at all. We tried changing the relay to see if that was the problem and it didn’t work. I have a new low pressure switch that I’m going to try and replace but we’re not even sure if that’s the problem. When putting the Freon in the clutch doesn’t engage but the fan does. Any help or advice appreciated!!
Re: 2009 Honda Civic not taking in freon
his dad has a manifold gauge set so he hooked it up and vacuumed everything out to see if it would hold. I’m waiting on my boyfriend for the picture of the exact pressure but I think he said the low side was reading a bit low. We then tried to hook the Freon up to manifold gauge and it wouldn’t take it in. We weren’t for sure if that was bad and tried doing it from the can and it wouldn’t take it from there either. I’m not as knowledgeable on cars as he is so if there’s anything specific you want to know about the process then I can ask him for sure.
